FAQs

Gel Nail Polish FAQs

Are Mylee gel nail polishes cruelty-free?

Yes, all of them. We don’t test our products or ingredients on animals, and we don’t retail in any country that requires animal testing. The whole Mylee range has been certified by PETA.

Are Mylee gel polishes vegan?

Yes, all of our Mylee gel polishes are completely vegan.

Are Mylee gel nail polishes HEMA-free (and what is HEMA)?

Yes, Mylee gel polishes are HEMA-free. HEMA is a monomer called hydroxyethyl methacrylate, which is essentially the adhesive product that’s found in many nail products. It’s recently been associated with skin sensitivities and allergies.

How does gel nail polish work?

To get a little techy – gel polish is made up of monomers and oligomers (stick with us) that bond together when placed under UV light. This is known as curing and sets the liquid gel hard in a matter of seconds, leaving long-lasting results.

How many layers of gel polish should you apply?

It depends on the opacity you’re going for, but we typically recommend applying two to three coats of gel colour for a bold, opaque finish. If you’re after a more sheer look, then one coat will do.

Does gel nail polish have an expiry date?

If stored correctly (not in direct sunlight and with the bottle lid fully screwed on), gel polish will last two years or more before it needs to be replaced. You can usually tell if gel polish has expired from the texture – the gel will have likely gone very thick.

Why is the gel polish colour in the bottle not the same as on the website?

As Mylee gel polish is cured with light, we cannot put it in a clear bottle. Every effort is made to ensure that all our product imagery is as accurate as possible. Due to colour/resolution settings on screens and printing, the colours can differ slightly from the physical product.

How do I store my gel polishes?

Store your gel polishes out of direct sunlight and in an upright position with the bottle lid fully screwed on. They’re best placed in a cabinet or drawer or inside a gel polish storage case, like the Gel Polish Case and Gel Polish Kit Case.

Can I do my gel nails outside?

No. You can’t use Mylee gel polish outside as exposure to sunlight will make the gel polish start to set. You need to apply it indoors. For the same reason, don’t apply right next to an open window.

Why has my gel polish brush gone hard, and can I save it?

Your gel polish brush may have gone hard if you've left the bottle open in front of the lamp when you're curing your nails. Be careful to always keep your bottles behind the lamp and out of the light when curing. If you have got cured product on your brush, you can try soaking it in Pure Acetone or Gel Remover and use a Wooden Cuticle Pusher to scrape out bits of the cured product.

What is the difference between gel polish and regular nail polish?

The biggest difference between gel polish and regular nail polish is that gel polish needs to be cured by a UV light, whereas regular polish air dries. UV and LED nail curing lamps omit UV light that hardens the gel polish.

On top of that, regular nail polishes don’t last anywhere near as long (around 1 week), and gel polish lasts up to 3 weeks.

Gel Nail Polish Application FAQs

How do I prep my nails for gel polish?

To begin your nail prep, use a Cuticle Pusher to push your cuticles back, and apply the Mylee Cuticle Remover to remove any dead skin if needed. Next, use a Crystal Nail File to shape the free edge of your nails and remove the shine from the nail plate with a Buffer Sanding Block

Sweep away any dust and cleanse the nails with a Lint-Free Wipe soaked in Prep & Wipe, then apply Nail Prep Dehydrator. Apply a layer of Mylee Base Coat and cure your nails for 30-60 seconds using the Mylee LED Lamp.

How do I apply gel nail polish perfectly?

After following proper nail prep, apply a Base Coat to your nails and cure underneath the Mylee Pro LED Lamp for 30-60 seconds. Then, apply your chosen Mylee Gel Polish shade, curing underneath the lamp again. Apply 2-3 coats for an opaque finish, ensuring you cure between each application.

To finish, apply a layer of Top Coat and cure under the lamp once again. If using a normal Top Coat, you need to wipe away the tacky layer. If not, you're good to go. But always wash your hands after curing your top coat. Use Cuticle and Nail Oil to hydrate and nourish your nails.

Can I use gel nail polish on natural nails?

Yes, gel polish is designed to be used on natural nails. It can also be used on nail extensions, like soft gel tips, Builder Gel, Magic Extender Gel and acrylic nails.

How long does gel nail polish last?

If you’ve followed proper prep and application, your gel mani should last up to 3 weeks or longer. After this time, you’ll likely experience nail growth, so you’ll either need to remove or infill your nails to account for this growth.

How long does gel polish take to dry?

This will depend on the nail lamp you’re using. The Pro Salon Series Convex LED Lamp flash cures gel polish in 15 seconds and fully cures a coat of gel polish in 30 to 60 seconds (depending on the thickness of the polish). Other LED lamps may have different times. We always recommend curing your gel polish with a Mylee Lamp to ensure your gel polish is properly cured.

UV nail lamps take longer to cure polish – 120 seconds to cure a full coat.

Why is my gel nail polish peeling and chipping?

Gel polish peeling or chipping might be the result of incorrectly curing your polish. If you’re applying thick layers of polish, make sure you’re curing your nails for long enough so the polish completely hardens. You should also cap the free edges of your nails when applying the polish, which can help to prevent peeling.

Incorrect prep of the nails can also cause peeling and chipping. Make sure you spend time on your prep and don't get any gel polish on the skin – if you do, remove before curing.

Why does my gel nail polish burn and feel hot under the lamp?

When your gel polish is curing under the lamp, it releases heat. Some people with thinner nail plates can be more sensitive to this heat. Also, the thicker you apply your polish, the more heat it can generate. As Builder Gel is a thicker product, many do feel more heat spikes when applying this thickly.

If it is getting too hot for you, simply remove your hands from the lamp for a few seconds to cool, then slowly pop your hand back in.

Gel Nail Polish Removal FAQs

Can I remove gel nail polish with normal nail polish remover?

No, you can’t remove gel polish with regular nail polish remover. Gel polish must be removed with an acetone-based product, like Gel Remover or Magic Gel Remover. Removers without acetone won’t be able to cut through the gel formula.

What removes gel nail polish?

Acetone or acetone-based solutions should be used to properly remove gel polish. We have an entire gel polish removal range that includes a series of gel removal products, including our Pure Acetone, Pre-Soaked Remover Wraps and Magic Gel Remover.

How do you remove gel nail polish at home?

To remove gel polish using Mylee Gel Remover or Pure Acetone, start by buffing the nail surface using the 100-grit side of our Half Moon Nail File. Soak a cotton pad in Gel Remover or Pure Acetone and place onto your nail, securing with a foil wrap/Soak-Off Clips

Firmly remove the foils after 10-15 minutes, and scrape off any remaining product with a Cuticle Pusher. Repeat if necessary.

Why are my gel nails still tacky after curing?

Your gel nails are supposed to be tacky after every coat to stick the layers together – even after curing. You’ll need to remove the tacky top layer by wiping the final coat with a cleanser (we recommend Prep & Wipe).

Why does some gel polish colour come off on the lint-free wipe when using cleanser?

This is completely normal – the gel colour forms part of the moisture layer that comes out of the polish when it’s been cured. You’ll probably find this happens more with darker colours, but it won’t remove all the polish from your nails, so don’t worry!

Why is my gel polish bubbling?

Bubbling gel polish can indicate that oil residue has been left on the nail surface, meaning you haven’t prepped your nails properly. Always remove any dirt and oil using Prep & Wipe on a Lint-Free Wipe to cleanse your nails.

Bubbling polish can also mean you haven’t cured the polish properly. Always cure your polish for the correct amount of time (30-60 seconds under a Mylee LED lamp), and cure for longer if you’ve applied a thicker layer.

Why isn’t my gel nail polish curing?

It’s likely that you’re not curing your polish for long enough. Our recommendation is to cure between 30-60 seconds under the LED Lamp, or 2 minutes under a UV lamp. It’s important to apply very thin and even coats. Thicker coats of polish need to be cured for longer.

How does Mylee Magic Gel Remover work?

Mylee Magic Gel Remover is an acetone-based gel polish remover that’s brushed onto your nails like a polish and removes the polish in 6 minutes.

To use it, buff your gel nails using the 100-grit side of a Half Moon Nail File and remove the shiny top coat. Brush the Magic Gel Remover onto the gel (avoiding your skin). Wait for 6 minutes, and the polish should start to bubble. Use a Gel Scraper to gently scrape off the gel, repeating if necessary.

Always wash your hands after using any acetone gel remover.

Mylee Gel Nail Lamp FAQs

What does a nail curing lamp do?

A nail curing lamp essentially hardens the gel polish, so it sets on top of your nail surface. The UV rays emitted by the lamp ‘cure’ the polish particles, resulting in the hardened gel.

Can gel nail polish air dry?

No, gel polish won’t airy dry and needs to be cured underneath a nail lamp in order to set. Trying to air dry your gel polish won’t work – the polish will just be sat wet on your nail. Plus, curing the polish is needed to apply multiple layers and nail art.

What’s the difference between LED & UV nail lamps?

Both types of nail lamps emit UV rays that harden the gel polish, but the difference is in the wavelength of these rays. LED lamps emit smaller wavelengths than UV lamps, which results in faster curing time. However, you can’t use an LED lamp to cure UV-only polish.

How long does gel polish take to dry under a lamp?

A normal layer of gel polish will take 30-60 seconds to cure underneath the LED Lamp and around 120 seconds under a UV lamp. You can flash cure nail art for a shorter length of time – 15 seconds under our LED lamp. Thicker layers of polish will need to be cured for longer.

Can I cure Mylee Gel Polish with another brand's nail lamp?

We would advise against it. The Pro Salon Series Convex LED Lamp has been designed to work alongside our gel polish formula to ensure the best possible results. We can’t guarantee the same finish when cured with lamps from other brands.

What is the wattage of Mylee nail lamps?

The Convex LED Lamp is 18 watts but converts this output to 20 mW/cm2 (Millwatt per square centimetre) UV light intensity. This makes it much more energy efficient than most other curing lamps.

Remember, the wattage is just what the lamp pulls in; it's what it emits that’s the most important in curing. A nail lamp can have very high watts, but if it's not emitting enough light, it could mean your gel polish isn't curing correctly.

Are gel nail lamps safe?

Despite common misconceptions, gel nail lamps are safe to use. The UV rays emitted by the lamps are very small and don’t commonly lead to any skin issues. However, you can choose to wear manicure gloves or SPF hand cream* for extra protection.

*Please note: remove any SPFs, creams and/or moisturisers from nails before applying gel polish.

Gel Nail Polish Safety FAQs

Does gel polish damage your nails?

No, gel polish doesn’t damage your nails, as long as you’ve followed the correct prep, application and removal instructions. You can find all our recommended gel polish routines above, or head over to our How To pages.

Is gel nail polish bad for your toenails?

Just like fingernails, gel polish isn’t bad for your toenails if you have followed proper nail prep, gel polish application and removal. If ever in doubt, check our How To pages for our recommended routines.

Is it bad to wear gel nail polish all the time?

No, wearing gel polish all the time isn’t bad for your nails if you’re following all the correct routines for prep, application and removal. In fact, wearing gel polish can help to protect your natural nails from everyday wear, allowing them to grow underneath the polish.

Contrary to common misconceptions, your nails don’t need to ‘breathe’ in between applications – there’s no reason why you can’t wear gel polish all the time.

At-Home Waxing FAQs

Is at-home waxing easy?

Waxing at home is really easy to do, and you’ll be a pro after a few goes at it. The key is to use quality products and follow proper techniques – both of which you can find right here!

What’s the difference between stripless wax & cream wax?

Creme wax is a liquid consistency that requires you to use wax strips to remove the hair. Stripless wax, on the other hand, comes in the form of beads and doesn’t need to be used with wax strips. Both forms will need to be heated in a wax heater, like our Professional 500ml Wax Heater or Digital Wax Heater, before applying to your skin.

How long does at-home waxing last?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer to how long a wax lasts. It depends on various factors, like your hair growth cycle, the waxing area, and your waxing frequency. On average, though, you can expect the results to last around 3-4 weeks, at which point you'll notice some regrowth.

Is it safe to wax yourself at home?

Yes, it’s safe to wax yourself at home, as long as you follow the correct procedures and take necessary precautions. It's crucial to ensure that the wax is not too hot, your skin is clean, and you perform the right aftercare to prevent any irritation or infection.

The Complete Waxing Kit gives you everything you need to safely wax at home.

How to make at-home waxing less painful?

To make at-home waxing a more comfortable experience, prep your skin by exfoliating beforehand. This helps remove dead skin cells and improves wax adhesion to the hair. Also, always make sure to apply the wax to dry skin and hair so that the wax can fully dry. You can use our 2-in-1 Pre & Post Hair Removal Oil alongside our Advanced Stripless Waxes to nourish the skin before waxing, too.

Mylee Builder Gel FAQs

How do you use Mylee Builder Gel?

If using Builder Gel as a nail strengthener, simply apply a thin layer to your nails and cure under the Mylee Pro LED lamp for 60 seconds.

If extending your nails, attach a Paper Nail Form to your nails and apply the Builder Gel over your nail, extending over the nail form to your desired length. Cure for 60 seconds. Repeat this process to build strength, curing after each layer. Remove the nail paper form and file your nail extension into shape.

How does Builder Gel work?

Builder Gel is a thick gel used for creating and sculpting extensions on nails. The thicker consistency allows the gel to hold its shape and remain strong when cured. It also acts as a barrier between your natural nails and everyday bumps, helping your nails to grow healthily and freely underneath.

How long do you cure Builder Gel?

You should cure our Builder Gel under our Pro LED Lamp for 60 seconds. If using a UV lamp, cure for around 120 seconds. Remember, this should be done after each layer of gel.

How many layers of Mylee Builder Gel should I apply?

We recommend appling two to three thin layers of Builder Gel or floating over one thick layer.

How do you remove Builder Gel?

Use the 100-grit side of our Half Moon Nail File to remove the bulk of the gel – we recommend around 90%. Soak a cotton pad with Gel Remover or 100% Pure Acetone and secure it on the nail plate with a foil wrap (you can use our Soak Off Clips for extra hold).

After 10 to 15 minutes, remove the pads and push away loose product with a Gel Scraper.

Re-buff and re-wrap the nail if necessary to remove all traces of the product. Once all the product is removed, thoroughly wash your hand and hydrate your skin and nails by applying cuticle oil and hand cream.

How do you infill Mylee Builder Gel?

Start by gently filing your nail using the 180-grit of our Half Moon Nail File to remove the bulk of the extension. Push back any cuticle growth with our Cuticle Pusher. Next, buff your nails using our Buffer Sanding Block to create a rough surface for the gel.

Cleanse your nail with Prep & Wipe on a Lint-Free Wipe, and you can use our Nail Prep Dehydrator, too, so your nail is clean of dust and oils, ready for a fresh application of Builder Gel.

Apply a thin layer of Builder Gel starting at the apex of your nail and brushing towards the cuticle. Float the gel over your entire nail and build up the apex. Then, cure under our Pro LED Curing Lamp for 60 seconds. Shape your extension into your desired nail shape.

How long does Builder Gel last?

Our Builder Gel is formulated to last up to 3 weeks. Just make sure to follow proper application steps for the longest-lasting results.

Why does my Builder Gel keep lifting?

If your Builder Gel is lifting, it's possible that you didn't cure it for long enough. Make sure to cure for at least 60 seconds under our LED lamp (or 120 seconds under a UV lamp). You may also have left dirt or oil residue on your nail plate – make sure to properly cleanse your nails using Prep & Wipe soaked on a Lint-Free Wipe before applying your gel.

We also recommend applying a layer of Base Coat with coloured Builder Gels for better adhesion.

Why does my Builder Gel burn?

Experiencing a slight tingling sensation while using Builder Gel may be attributed to something known as 'heat spike'. This can occur if the gel is applied too thickly or cured too rapidly under the lamp. To avoid this, we recommend applying the gel in thin layers.

If you do find you’re getting a heat spike, simply take your hand out from under the lamp and give it a couple of seconds to cool down. Then, slowly put your gel nails back under the light.

How do you prep nails for Builder Gel?

To prep your nails for Builder Gel, push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher and remove any dead white skin with our Cuticle Nippers. Gently buff the surface of your natural nails using our 180-Grit Sanding Block to create a rough texture for the gel to adhere to. Then, clean your nail plate using our Prep & Wipe solution soaked on a Lint-Free Wipe to remove any oils and dirt.

Mylee Magic Extender Gel FAQs

How do you use Magic Extender Gel?

  1. Prep your nails and apply a Base Coat to your nails. Cure for 30 seconds under our Pro LED Lamp.
  2. Attach a nail paper form to your nail by aligning the middle of the form with the middle of your nail.
  3. Squeeze out a small amount of Magic Extender Gel and slice with the Poly Nail Dual-Ended Tool. Roll onto your nail.
  4. Apply a small amount of Slip Solution to the brush-end of the Poly Nail Tool and shape the Extender Gel. Extend over the form to your desired nail length.
  5. Apply more Magic Extender Gel to the apex of your nail to add strength to the extension.
  6. Cure for 60 seconds under our Pro LED Lamp or 120 seconds under a UV lamp.
  7. Remove the nail paper form and file to smooth and shape your nail.
  8. Cleanse your nails and apply your gel colour.

How do I remove Magic Extender Gel?

Use the 100-grit side of a Half Moon Nail File to file down the bulk of the Magic Extender Gel, leaving roughly 10% to protect the natural nail underneath during removal. Trim any extension length using The Shortie extension clippers before soaking cotton pads in Gel Remover or 100% Pure Acetone and secure them to your nails using foil wraps.

After 15 minutes, gently push away loose gel with a Gel Scraper. Once it’s all removed, give your hands and nails some love by washing them and moisturising with our Sweet Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil.

What length nail extensions can I create with Magic Extender Gel?

You can go long with Magic Extender Gel (unlike Builder Gel, where we recommend only adding up to 1cm length) – the sky is the limit. That being said, you need to have the support and apex to support the length of the extension. If you have shorter natural nail beds, we recommend shorter extensions so your natural nail bed doesn’t have too much pressure on it.

Do I need to apply a base coat over Magic Extender Gel?

You should apply a Base Coat before applying your Magic Extender Gel and a Top Coat after creating your nail extensions.

How long should I cure Magic Extender Gel?

You should cure our Magic Extender Gel for 60 seconds under our Pro LED Lamp or under a UV lamp for 2 minutes.

Mylee Fix ‘N’ Flash FAQs

Are Mylee Fix ‘N’ Flash nail tips unbreakable?

One of the biggest benefits of our Fix ‘N’ Flash Tips is their exceptional strength and resistance to snapping, thanks to their innovative soft gel formula. With that being said, they’re not entirely unbreakable, so it’s still crucial to look after your nails to make them last longer!

How long do Fix ‘N’ Flash nail extensions last?

Our Fix ‘N’ Flash Tips will last up to 3 weeks, providing you with long-lasting and beautiful nails. Always follow our recommended application steps for the best results.

How do I apply Fix ‘N’ Flash tips?

Get your nails ready with your prep usual routine by pushing back those cuticles, filing, buffing, and cleansing your nails.

Apply a small amount of Fix 'N' Flash Gel to your nail and the soft gel tip. Place the gel nail extension firmly on your natural nail. Make sure there are no bubbles or gel on the skin around it. Flash cure for 15 seconds with our LED lamp while still pressing down. Then, do a regular 60-second cure.

Why are my Fix ‘N’ Flash tips popping off and not sticking to my nails?

If your Fix ‘N’ Flash tips keep popping off or not sticking to your nails, you may not have cured them properly, or your nails haven’t been prepped correctly. Make sure you have buffed the surface of your nail bed, and you’re flash-curing the tips for 5 seconds while holding them in place, finishing with a full 60-second cure to set them properly.

Also, always make sure the tip is the right width for your natural nail bed; if it’s too small, you may find the gel tip trying to curl or pull away from your natural nails, causing them to lift off.

Can I use regular nail glue to stick my Fix ‘N’ Flash tips to my nails?

You can use both regular nail glue and Fix ‘N’ Flash Gel to adhere Fix ‘N’ Flash Tips to your nails. Our Brush On Nail Glue has a strong, long-lasting hold and is quick-drying, securing your gel tips within seconds.

We recommend using our Nail Glue if you want to pre-paint your Fix ‘N’ Flash Tips before applying them to your nails – once the extensions are painted, the light from the curing lamp can’t penetrate through the gel polish to cure them onto the nail, so you can glue them instead.

How do you infill Mylee Fix ‘N’ Flash tips?

For flawless Fix 'N' Flash infills, use our nail extension cutter, The Shortie, to trim your tips to your desired length or leave as is. Then, buff and cleanse your growth. Apply Builder Gel or Magic Extender Gel from the cuticle and float over your nail at the extension. Cure for 60 seconds under our LED Lamp.

How do you remove Fix ‘N’ Flash tips?

Start by trimming down your gel tips with The Shortie nail extension clippers. Then, gently file the gel polish on your nails using our Half Moon Nail File. Next, soak a nail wipe or cotton pad in Gel Remover or 100% Acetone and secure it with a Soak Off Clip or foil wrap.

After 10-15 minutes, remove the wrap and use the Gel Scraper to effortlessly push away the polish and gel tip from your nail bed. Repeat this process if necessary.

To finish, wash your hands and apply our Sweet Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil to renourish your nails.

Brow and Lash Tint FAQs

How do you use Mylee Express Brow and Lash tint?

Cleanse your eyebrows thoroughly using a non-oily cleanser, and apply a moisture barrier around your eyebrows and upper eyelids with petroleum jelly. Squeeze 1cm of tint onto a tray or into a Dappen Dish and apply to your lashes with the spoolie brush and your brows with the angled brush. Leave for 2-4 minutes.

Use a cotton pad or lint-free wipe to remove the tint. Once your brows and lashes are fully dry, apply the Express Developer Gel. Leave for 1-2 minutes. Wipe off with a cotton pad or lint-free wipe.

How long does brow and lash tint last?

Our Express 2-in-1 Lash and Brow Tint will last around 6 weeks – but this will depend on factors such as how often you wash your face and your skin type.

Can you use brow tint if you have sensitive skin?

Yes, you can use brow tint even if you have sensitive skin. We recommend doing a patch test at least 24 hours before trying any new product to check for any possible allergic reactions. It's always important to follow the instructions provided to ensure safe use.

How long should you leave brow and lash tint on?

For our Express Brow & Lash Tint, leave the tint on for 2-4 minutes and the Express Developer Gel for 1-2 minutes.

For our classic Brow & Lash Tint, leave the tint on for 3-5 minutes (depending on how dark you want your brows to be), and for lashes, keep the tint on for around 10 minutes.

How do you remove brow tint from your skin?

To prevent the tint from staining your skin, we recommend applying petroleum jelly around your brows as a protective barrier. If the tint does end up on unwanted areas of your skin, you can easily remove using a gentle eye makeup remover on a cotton pad.

How long does it take for brow tint to fade?

The duration for which brow tint lasts can vary depending on factors such as your skin type, skincare routine, and exposure to sun or water. Our Express 2-in-1 Brow & Lash Tint will last for around 6 weeks.

How long after lash tint can I shower?

Once you’ve tinted your eyelashes, we recommend that you avoid showering or washing your face for 24 hours. This gives the dye time to settle into the hairs, making the results last much longer.

Nail Art FAQs

How do you apply loose nail glitter?

Prep your nails and apply a Base Coat. You can either apply the loose glitter to your Base Coat layer or a colour gel polish. If applying to a colour gel, first cure your Base Coat for 30 seconds under our Pro LED Lamp, apply your chosen polish, and cure again.

Then, apply the loose glitter to the tacky nail surface using a Sponge Applicator or shaking over your nail. Brush off any excess, and apply a Top Coat or float over a layer of Clear Builder Gel to encapsulate the glitter and give a smooth finish. Cure for a final 30 seconds.

How do you use nail art brushes?

Dip your brush into the gel polish or Créme CaraGel pot, then paint your design onto a cured Base Coat or gel colour. Once you're satisfied with your nail art, flash cure for 15 seconds under our LED Lamp. Seal it with a Top Coat and cure it for 30 seconds.

How do you clean gel nail art brushes?

Our Brush It Off! brush cleanser is super effective for keeping your brushes clean and fresh. Simply apply a small amount of the cleanser to a mixing palette or nail wipe, then gently swirl the bristles in the cleanser. Wipe off any excess product using a nail wipe. Repeat if needed.

How do you apply nail art stickers?

To effortlessly apply nail art stickers, simply peel them off the backing and gently place them on your natural nails or a cured polish layer. Finish off with a Top Coat to lock in the design. It's that easy!

How do you apply gems to your nails?

We recommend using Builder Gel to attach gems to your nails. Dot a small amount of the gel onto your nail where you want the gems to go over a cured Base Coat or gel colour, and use the Dotting Tool or tweezers to place them onto the gel. Flash cure under our LED Lamp for 15 seconds. You can then encapsulate with more Builder Gel, curing for a further 60 seconds.

Can you do nail art with gel polish?

Absolutely! You can create stunning nail art with gel polish by using a nail art brush or the built-in bottle brush. Our Créme CaraGels are also great for creating nail art – these are a solid gel polish that makes it easier to create more intricate designs.

Top tip: flash cure your designs for 15 seconds once you’re happy with them to stop them smudging whilst you work on your other nails.

How do you use a dotting tool for nail art?

Simply dip the end of the tool into your favourite gel nail polish and carefully dot it onto your nails to create your desired patterns. The different sizes of the dotting tool ends allow for versatile dot sizes.

How do you apply foils to your nails?

Begin by applying a Base Coat and curing for 30 seconds underneath our Pro LED Lamp. Apply a colour gel polish if you wish, and cure again if you do. Then, apply our Foil Gel and cure. Carefully place the nail foil onto your nail, shiny side up, and press it into the adhesive. Lift the foil off, and it will have transferred. Seal your design with a Top Coat. Cure for a final time.

How do you apply chrome to your nails?

Applying chrome to your nails can be achieved by using our chrome Cushion Powder Pens and No-Wipe Top Coat. Apply a layer of No-Wipe Top Coat and cure under our LED Lamp for 30 seconds. Then, dip the cushion into the pen lid and buff the chrome powder onto your nail. Apply another layer of No-Wipe Top Coat and cure.

Once your friend makes their first purchase, we'll send you your discount code within 24 hours. You'll have 60 days to use your discount, and if your code is about to expire, you can always ask your friend to issue you a fresh one. It'll be valid for another 30 days!

How do I redeem my discount code?

To redeem your discount, simply enter the code from the email we sent when you’re checking out. It’s the same box where you’d enter any other discount code. Once entered, the discount will be deducted from your order total.

Your friend simply needs to follow the link sent to them over email, and the discount will be automatically applied at checkout.

What happens if my discount code doesn’t work?

If you’re experiencing any issues with your code, double-check to ensure it’s been entered correctly. Please note that certain exclusions may apply, and they can’t be used with other promotional codes.

Be sure to visit our offer exclusions page to see which products aren’t included. If you require further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
