How To Builder Gel

Strengthen Natural Nails

1. After nail prep, apply the Builder Gel and cure under a UV lamp for 2 mins or LED lamp for 60 secs. Top tip: apply a base coat first if using a coloured Builder Gel.

2. Pop on your Mylee gel polish shade of choice or apply more Builder Gel in thin layers to build up strength, curing for 60 secs each time.

3. Apply another layer of Builder Gel to top it off or use a separate Top Coat and you guessed it, cure.

4. Remove any sticky residue with Mylee’s Prep and Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe and voila, stronger nails!

Extend The Nails & Shape

1. Following nail prep, apply an optional base coat and cure under a UV lamp for 2 mins or LED lamp for 30 secs.

2. Attach a Paper Nail Form and brush the Builder Gel over the entire nail, extending the tip to build your desired length and cure for 60 secs.

3. Build up strength by applying thin layers of Builder Gel and curing for 60 secs each time, or floating over one thicker layer (be careful for heat spikes from the lamp with this method).

4. Ditch the nail form and file that tip into shape.

5. Apply your favourite Mylee gel polish colour and top coat as per.

Attach Decals, Jewels & Sequins

1. Prep the nail and apply your favourite Mylee gel polish colour.

2. Pop a dab of Builder Gel where you want to position the jewel or decal and place it on top, curing for 2 minutes (UV) or 60 seconds (LED).

3. Float another layer of Builder Gel over the decal and full nail to encapsulate, then cure.

4. Wipe off any tacky layer with our Prep and Wipe, then go forth and sparkle!

You can use our Builder Gel in multiple ways on your natural nails!

You can create nail extensions up to 1cm, use it to strengthen your natural nails, attach nail gems and add a subtle flush of colour.

Peel off a nail form from the roll and stick it onto your finger with your nail in the centre.

Pinch together the sides and top of the paper form to secure.

Brush your Builder Gel over your nail, extending the polish over the nail form to your desired length.

Build up layers, curing in between for 60 seconds at a time, until you have your perfect nail extension. Remove the paper nail form and file the extension into shape.

We always recommend using a base coat before applying our coloured Builder Gels for long-lasting results. And remember to cure in between coats!

Builder Gel is a thick gel that’s used to extend the length of your nail, strengthen your natural nails and add nail gems and glitter for nail art.

Our regular Mylee gel polish cannot be used to extend your nails, and we wouldn’t recommend it for attaching nail gems as you won’t get the same hold as Builder Gel.

They work incredibly well together, though, helping you create a stunning salon-worthy mani!
