How To Use Créme CaraGels

Step 1: Push back your cuticles & shape your nails with a file. Gently remove shine and oil from the nail plate with a buffing block, followed by a lint-free wipe soaked in Mylee Prep & Wipe.

Step 2: Apply a Mylee Base Coat & cure your nails for 30-60 seconds using the Mylee Pro LED Lamp. Remove any gel on your skin before curing.

Step 3: Take an oval brush (or a nail art brush if you're getting creative) and dip it into your chosen Crème CaraGel, then apply it to your nails in smooth strokes.

Step 4: Cure for 30-60 secs with the lamp and repeat to build colour.

Step 5: Apply a Mylee Top Coat and cure. If you've used a regular Top Coat, remove the sticky layer by wiping the nails with a lint-free wipe soaked in Mylee Prep & Wipe.

FAQs

As the name suggests, solid gel polish is a thick, cream-like gel-based polish. Regular gel polish has a thinner consistency. Solid gel polish is extremely pigmented and comes in pots and is applied using an oval brush for all-over colour or a thinner nail art brush for more precise designs. Because the colour is more pigmented, you can apply our CaraGel in thinner layers for a less bulky mani that lasts.

Regular gel polish is applied using the brush that comes with the bottle. It’s less pigmented than solid creme polish, so will need to be built up with multiple layers. Both our Crème CaraGel and gel nail polish last up to 3 weeks.

Yes, solid gel polish still needs to be cured just like regular gel polish. The gel needs to harden on your nails, which can only be achieved by curing under an LED or UV lamp. You should cure Mylee Crème CaraGel polish underneath our Pro LED Lamp for 30-60 seconds.

Neither solid gel polish nor regular gel polish is better than the other. The thicker consistency of solid gel polish makes it easier to work with when doing nail art, which can give you more precise designs. But you can use solid and regular gel polish together to achieve the effect you're looking for.

To remove solid gel polish, buff your gel nails with a nail file to remove the shiny top layer. Then, soak a cotton pad or nail wipe in Mylee Gel Remover or 100% Acetone and place onto your nail. Secure the wipe with a foil wrap, and use our Gel Polish Soak Off Clips for extra hold.

After 10-15 minutes, remove the pads firmly from your nail and use a cuticle pusher or orange stick to gently push away any loose product. If any stubborn polish remains, repeat these steps. Once all the solid gel polish is removed, wash your hands and finish by applying cuticle oil to your nails and fingers.

Although our CaraGels solid polish in a pot is a lot thicker than gel polish in a bottle, it doesn't apply thickly like Builder Gel. CaraGel applies in really thin layers, whereas Builder Gel is much bulkier, which is needed to add strength to nail extensions. The extremely high pigmentation of our solid gel pots means you don't need to build up thick layers as much as you do with Builder Gel.
