Poly gel, made easy

Poly gel sits between a hard acrylic and a soft gel: lightweight and flexible like gel, but strong enough to build real length like acrylic, without the strong fumes of liquid-and-powder systems. Shape it over a dual form or the natural nail, then cure to set. It's a natural step up from our builder gel, and part of the wider nail extensions range.

Applying and finishing

Prep the nail, place a bead of gel, then shape it with a spatula and a little slip solution before curing under a Mylee LED lamp. Once cured, file to refine the shape and finish with a top coat for shine, or add a colour over the top. Work in manageable amounts for the smoothest result.

What is Magic Extender Gel?

Magic Extender Gel is ahybrid between a gel and an acrylic. It's a thick poly nail extender gel that can be used to extend the length of the nail or act as a strong overlay for natural nails, protecting them from everyday bumps and nicks.

The gel paste can be easily sculpted and moulded into any nail length and shape you want, and it acts as a great base for regular gel polish.

Are Magic Extender nails easy to do?

Our Magic Extender Gel is very easy to use. If it's your first go at creating any type of nail extensions, we do recommend watching our How To videos and step-by-steps, but you'll be a pro in no time.

What length nail extensions can I create with Magic Extender Gel?

You can create nail extensions as long as you desire with Magic Extender Gel. It can also be used to shape and sculpt shorter nails for a natural look.

Can Magic Extender Gel nails be painted?

Yes, Magic Extender Gel is a fantastic base for gel polish. You can paint over the entire gel extension with your colour nail polish, or create stunning designs with our nail art goodies.

How do I remove Magic Extender Gel?

To remove Magic Extender Gel, follow the steps below or head on over to ourHow To Remove Gel Polishpage.

  1. Use the 100-grit side of a Half Moon Nail File to file down the Magic Extender Gel, leaving around 10% on the nail to protect the natural nail.
  2. Soak off the remaining Magic Extender Gel by applying cotton pads soaked with Gel Remover and secure with foil wraps. You can also use our Gel Polish Soak Off Clips for extra hold.
  3. After 15 minutes, remove the pads and gently push away any loose product with a cuticle pusher or Gel Scraper Tool.
  4. To finish, moisturise your hands and nails with Sweet Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil and hand cream.

Are Magic Extender & Builder Gel the same?

Magic Extender Gel and Builder Gel aren't the same. Builder Gelis a thick gel consistency that can extend natural nails up to 1cm. It can also be used to attach nail gems and decals. Magic Extender Gel is a thicker paste and can create much longer extensions.

Both types of gel extensions can be easily filed into different nail shapes and strengthen the natural nail underneath.
