What Do I Need To Do Gel Nails At Home?

Getting started with gel nails at home is simple! Once you have all the tools and equipment like a lamp, you'll be able to change up your nails any time you like.

All you need to get started is a cuticle pusher, nail file, nail buffer, Prep & Wipe, Lint Free Wipes, a base coat, a UV or LED lamp, gel nail polish, and a top coat. Once you have these items, you can follow the steps below to achieve salon-quality gel nails right in your own home!

How To Do Gel Nails At Home

1. Push back your cuticles with a wooden or metal cuticle pusher.
2. Shape nails with a file, then buff your nails with a grit buffer to remove shine.
3. Cleanse your nail from dust or oil with Prep & Wipe on a Lint-Free Wipe.
4. Apply MyGel Base Coat. Cure for 30 secs under LED/120 secs under UV.
5. Apply a thin layer of gel polish. Cure for 30 secs under LED/120 secs under UV. Use two coats or more as needed to build up opacity and for a darker finish.
6. Apply MyGel Top Coat and cure (30 secs under LED Lamp & 120 secs under UV Lamp.)
7. Remove tacky layer with Prep & Wipe on a Lint-Free Wipe, then apply cuticle oil on cuticles.
