Our Builder Gel for nails is perfect for several applications including as a base coat, top coat, strengthening overlay, to attach gems/jewels, to encapsulate glitters and can be used with paper forms to extend the nails up to 1cm in length.

Keep it clear, or apply your fave Mylee gel polish over the top! You can also use builder gel to infill nails to fix any gaps due to growth, so you won’t need to soak your gel polish off and start from scratch.

This product works perfectly with Mylee Prep & Wipe 250ml and Mylee 3 Way Nail Buffer.

MyGel is 100% safe and compliant with all UK and EU safety regulations. MyGel polishes cure under UV or LED lamp.

Strengthen natural nails
1) After nail prep, apply the Builder Gel and cure under a UV lamp for 2 mins or LED lamp for 60 secs. Top tip: apply a base coat first if using a coloured Builder Gel.
2) Pop on your MyGel shade of choice or apply more Builder Gel in thin layers to build up strength, curing for 60 secs each time.
3) Apply another layer of Builder Gel to top it off or use a separate Top Coat and you guessed it, cure.
4) Remove any sticky residue with Mylee’s Prep and Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe and voila, stronger nails!

Extend the nails & shape
1) Following nail prep, apply an optional base coat and cure under a UV lamp for 2 mins or LED lamp for 30 secs.
2) Attach a Paper Nail Form and brush the Builder Gel over the entire nail, extending the tip to build your desired length and cure for 60 secs.
3) Build up strength by applying thin layers of Builder Gel and curing for 60 secs each time, or floating over one thicker layer (be careful for heat spikes from the lamp with this method).
4) Ditch the nail form and file that tip into shape.
5) Apply your favourite MyGel colour and top coat as per.

Attach decals, jewels & sequins
1) Prep the nail and apply your favourite MyGel colour.
2) Pop a dab of Builder Gel where you want to position the jewel or decal and place it on top, curing for 2 minutes (UV) or 60 seconds (LED).
3) Float another layer of Builder Gel over the decal and full nail to encapsulate, then cure.
4) Wipe off any tacky layer with our Prep and Wipe, then go forth and sparkle!

How to use

CLEAR:

STEP 1. PREP

File nails to shape and use a Mylee Buffing Block* to help gently remove shine from the nail plate. Wipe your nails with a dash of Mylee 2-in-1 Nail Prep & Wipe* on a Mylee Lint Free Wipe* to remove any oils. If you’re prone to lifting, apply the Mylee Dehydrator* followed by the Mylee Acid-Free Primer*.

STEP 2. STRENGTHEN & LENGTHEN

To strengthen, brush on 2-4 very thin layers of Mylee 5-in-1 Clear Builder Gel, curing each layer for 60 seconds. To build extensions of up to 1cm, attach a Mylee Paper Nail Form* and brush the Builder Gel over the entire nail, extending the tip, and cure for 60 seconds. Repeat this step to build a strong extension.

STEP 3. ENCAPSULATE (OPTIONAL)

To encapsulate loose glitter shake your favourite Mylee glitter* over cured Builder Gel, brush off any excess and seal with the 5-in-1 Clear Builder Gel then cure. Alternatively, paint on a dab of Builder Gel, pop on a jewel or decal, cure, encapsulate and cure again.

STEP 4. FINISH

Seal the deal with a Mylee Top Coat* and cure for 60 seconds. If using the regular Mylee Top Coat, remove the tacky layer with 2-in-1 Nail Prep & Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe. Alternatively skip this step and use a Mylee No-Wipe Top Coat*! Wash your hands, apply Mylee Nail & Cuticle Oil*, moisturise, and enjoy your salon-quality mani for up to 3 weeks!*

Storage

Store your Mylee gel nail polishes in a cool, dark place and do not expose them to sunlight as this can cause discolouration, fade the pigment, and pre-cure the nail lacquer, reducing the maximum quantity of nail polish in the bottle.

Fix chips and cracks

Broken or cracked a nail? Don’t panic. Mylee Builder Gel is a total nail-saver. Just apply a thin layer over the break and cure for 60 seconds under your LED lamp. It forms a strong, protective overlay that holds everything together until your next mani - or your next trip to the salon.

Add sparkle that stays put

Want to add gems or jewels to your gel mani? Builder Gel has your back. Once your colour is on, dab a little gel where you want to place your bling, pop on your gem, and cure for 2 minutes. Then apply a layer of Builder Gel over the whole nail to secure everything in place and cure again. No slipping, no snagging - just shine.

Top it off

Our Clear Builder Gel doubles up as a Top Coat, giving your mani a sleek, high-shine finish while adding an extra layer of strength. Perfect for when you want long-lasting gloss and durability.

Overlay for strength

Weak, bendy nails? Try a strengthening overlay. A thin layer of Builder Gel over natural nails creates a smooth, supportive finish that helps prevent breaks and keeps your mani looking fresh for longer.
