Is Getting Started With Nail Decoration Easy?

It is very easy to get started with gel nails. All you need is a quality gel nail kit, and you will be on your way to fabulous nails in no time. We always recommend starting with simple one-colour nail designs in your favourites pastel, neon or glitter polish colours. 

Once you’re confident applying nail polish you can work on more complex designs and with other nail decoration materials like foils, stickers and loose glitters. Our complete guide to nail foils offers an excellent intro.

What Is In Your Starter Gel Nail Kits?

Our starter gel nail kits include everything that you need to get started with gel nails. This includes a quality UV/LED lamp, gel nail polish, nail prep products, and a top coat. Plus, we've included a handy user guide so you can get started right away.

How To Do Gel Nails At Home

1. Push back your cuticles with a wooden or metal cuticle pusher.
2. Shape nails with a file, then buff your nails with a grit buffer to remove shine.
3. Cleanse your nail from dust or oil with Prep & Wipe on a Lint-Free Wipe.
4. Apply MyGel Base Coat. Cure for 30 secs under LED/120 secs under UV.
5. Apply a thin layer of nail gel polish. Cure for 30 secs under LED/120 secs under UV. Use two coats or more as needed to build up opacity and for a darker finish.
6. Apply MyGel Top Coat and cure (30 secs under LED Lamp & 120 secs under UV Lamp.)
7. Remove tacky layer with Prep & Wipe on a Lint-Free Wipe, then apply cuticle oil on cuticles.
