How long does Mylee Builder Gel take to cure?

Curing times depend on the formula you are using. 5-In-1 Builder Gel requires 60 seconds under a Mylee LED lamp. Our Super Pigment Formula, which has a higher density of colour, requires a 99-second cure. To help avoid heat spikes during the process, we recommend using the Mylee Grande Lamp on Low Heat Mode.

Do I need a base coat with builder gel?

Yes. For the best adhesion and to protect your natural nails, any of our builder gels (including the Super Pigment range) require a base coat of Clear 5-In-1 Builder Gel first.

How do I remove builder gel at home without damage?

To remove safely, start by firmly buffing the surface of the gel to break the seal. Use a Mylee Nail Wipe saturated with Mylee Gel Remover, then secure it to the nail using Mylee Soak Off Clips or our pre-made Foil Remover Wraps.

Wait 15 minutes before gently pushing away the softened gel with a Wooden Cuticle Stick. Never peel the gel, as this can damage the natural nail plate.

Can I use builder gel with tips?

Mylee Builder Gel is designed for overlays and short extensions (up to 1cm) created with Nail Forms. If you are looking to apply full-cover tips, we recommend our Fix ‘N’ Flash system.

Can I use builder gel as a top coat?

Our Clear 5-In-1 Builder Gel can be used as a high-shine top coat to finish your manicure. However, for the most durable protection against daily wear and the best possible gloss, we recommend finishing with a dedicated Mylee No Wipe Top Coat.
