This modern and chocolate brown take on a french manicure is super chic, and easy to recreate yourself at home!
Siannise’s nails are lovely and long! You can achieve this yourself using the Mylee 5-In-1 Builder Gel to extend your nails and add strength. Being thicker than a regular gel polish, Builder Gel is perfect for extending your nails up to 1cm. Builder Gel is also a firm favourite from Love Island Star Siannise!
To start, prep your nails as normal. Push back your cuticles with our Metal Cuticle Pusher or Wooden Cuticle Sticks, and nip away any dead bits of cuticle using the Mylee Cuticle Nippers. Buff your nail plate with our 240 Buffing Block and cleanse with Prep & Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe to remove any dust or oil on the nail plate.
If extending your nails like Siannise did, round the free edge of your nail with a file and then apply a paper nail form by positioning the nail in the centre ensuring the form sits tightly under the nail with no gaps. Use the tear line to secure the side tabs to the finger, press the sides together and pinch the top of the form to secure. Brush the builder gel over your nail, and over the end of your natural nail and onto the paper form to create your extension. Build this up in several layers, thoroughly curing in an LED or UV Lamp (60 seconds for LED, 120 for UV), until your nail is your desired thickness. Remove your form and buff and file your nail to smooth and shape it. Siannise’s nails are a stunning square shape!
If you’re already blessed with naturally long nails you can totally skip this step! And if you’re happy with your short nails, then Siannise’s look will work well when recreated on any length or shape nails!
Next Siannise added a thin layer of our Peach Builder Gel to give that super sheer nude base for her nail art. This is the perfect sheer nude shade for any french nail look! Cure this layer in an LED or UV Lamp (60 seconds for LED, 120 for UV).
To recreate Siannise’s super thin french tips take the MyGel shade Wellie Boots. This is a lovely dark pigmented brown, perfect for Autumn! Very gently run the side of the brush up the sidewalls of the nail, to create a thin stripe. Then take the end of your brush and gently push it up against the free edge of the nail to deposit a small amount of polish onto the tip, again keeping it super thin and fine. You can flash cure your french tip for 15 seconds!
If you want to finish this look here then simply apply a top coat, cure and you’re ready to go!
If you’d like to take it one step further then take the shade Bronze Goddess and apply it to your ring finger and thumb. You can also apply some dots in a diagonal line across your index finger like Siannnise did by using the Mylee Dotting Tool and the shade Bronze Goddess. Simply dip the small end of the dotting tool in the polish and gently press it onto the nail, pulling away to create the perfect dot!
Then simply add your No Wipe Top Coat, cure it in an LED or UV Lamp (60 seconds for LED, 120 for UV), and rub in a few drops of Cuticle Oil around your cuticles, and Volia! You have recreated Siannise’s mani and are ready to rock this chic look!
