Why choose a solid gel pot?
Pot gels give you more control and less waste than a brush-in-bottle: pick up exactly what you need, and mix or marble shades for custom nail art. The creamy, high-pigment formula builds full colour in thin coats, so it's ideal for both a clean, solid manicure and detailed work with a fine brush. Explore classic and new-season shades across the range.
Applying and sealing
Brush on thin, even layers over a base coat and cure each under a Mylee LED lamp, then finish with a top coat for a glossy, protective shine. Two thin coats give the richest, most even colour; build patchy areas with a second thin layer rather than one thick one. For extra strength underneath, a layer of Clear 5-In-1 Builder Gel works well.
FAQs
What is solid gel polish?
Solid gel polish is a thick, cream-like gel nail polish that provides a highly pigmented and saturated colour. The thicker consistency makes these gel nail pots easier to control, which is great for intricate and detailed nail art. The créme polish is curable underneath a nail lamp and can be used with regular gel nail polishes.
Do you need a UV or LED light for solid gel polish?
Yes, solid gel polish still needs to be cured underneath a nail lamp for the gel to 'set'. When using our Créme CaraGels, you should cure the layer underneath our Pro LED Lamps for 30-60 seconds.
Caragels - How do you apply solid cream gel polish?
Follow our steps below for applying your solid gel polish:
- Push back your cuticles and shape your nails with a nail file.
- Gently remove the shine and oil from the nail plate with a buffing block, followed by a lint-free wipe soaked in Prep & Wipe.
- Apply a Base Coat and cure your nails for 60 seconds using the Pro LED Lamp. (Always make sure to remove any gel on your skin before curing.)
- Take an oval brush (or a nail art brush if you're getting creative) and dip it into your chosen Crème CaraGel, then apply it to your nails in smooth strokes.
- Cure for 60 secs with the lamp and repeat to build colour.
- Apply a Top Coat and cure. If you've used a regular Top coat, remove the sticky layer by wiping the nails with a lint-free wipe soaked in Prep & Wipe.
Does solid gel polish last longer?
Our solid gel polishes last up to 3 weeks, giving you the same signature long-lasting finish as our regular gel nail polishes. Make sure you follow proper nail prep and application to help you achieve the most professional-looking and longest-lasting results.
How do you remove solid gel polish?
You can remove solid gel nail polish using the same removal method as regular gel nails. Start by buffing your gel nails with a nail file to remove the shiny top coat. Use a cotton pad or nail wipe soaked with Gel Remover or 100% Acetone and place onto the nail plate. Secure the pad or wipe with a foil wrap, and use the Gel Polish Soak Off Clips for extra hold.
After 10-15 minutes, firmly pull the pads off. Use a cuticle pusher or orange stick to gently push away any loose product, repeating these steps if needed. Once all the solid gel is removed, wash your hands and finish by applying cuticle oil and hand cream.
