Collection: Builder Gel Prep & Tools

Every builder gel manicure starts with the same prep as any gel, whether you're building length or wearing colour alone. File and shape first, then buff away ridges with a Nail Buffer Sanding Block: you're creating grip for the gel, not smoothing the nail flat. Push cuticles back with Cuticle Remover and a pusher, wipe the nail plate with Prep & Wipe to clear oils, then dehydrate with the Nail Prep Dehydrator and finish with a thin layer of Acid-Free Nail Primer for stronger adhesion. Prep well and every layer that follows lasts longer.

The right kit for the job

If you'd rather not buy each step separately, the Foundation Builder Gel Kit bundles Clear 5-In-1 and coloured builder gels with a top coat, buffer and files in one kit, or pick up the Prep & Prime Duo for just the dehydrator and primer step. There's no separate brush for builder gel: it applies with the brush built into the bottle, the same as any Mylee gel. Once it's cured, seal with a top coat, and our nail art brushes are there if you want to add detail over the top.
